The Startup course is one of NooA’s online courses in English.
This online course received financial support from Akershus Fylkeskommune in 2015 and it was developed in collaboration with Asker Næringsråd and Inclusion AS. It was free for 20 entrepreneurs in Oslo and Akershus in the fall of 2015, and we have received funds to run it again for 10 participant in GründerSjansen in the fall of 2016.

I have seven years experience in assisting Norwegian and International startups: Developing business support services, teaching at a multitude of startup seminars, individual counselling and mentor support to International entrepreneurs.
My key area of competence are: Assisting startups through teaching and individual support, business planning and execution, marketing and sales. Global minded, entrepreneurial.
The course How to start a business in Norway by NOOA has been very useful for me, and gave me the possibility to effectuate my idea on having a business in Norway.
The tools are very intuitive and guides naturally to the next step. The course instructs on tax, juridic issues, marketing, sales and shows points to be consider before start a business.
We find the informations in English, which has extremely importance for me as I don’t speak Norwegian yet.

In this Start-up course, you will learn how to start a business in Norway and get an opportunity to build a network with other international entrepreneurs in Oslo and Akershus. First, we will introduce you to business modelling – a necessity if you are aiming for success. Then we will guide you through the practical steps you have to take in order to make your business ready for the market launch. The course is divided into four modules. In addition to teaching lessons, you will be guided through useful assignments and have the opportunity to share your challenges with fellow students. Your progress will be monitored by our online mentors. In several of the modules, you will also be provided with various practical tools like «how-to» instructional videos, checklists and step-by-step guides.
Target group: People with entrepreneurial aspirations living in either Akershus or Oslo who either are in their early stages of start-up or are considering starting up their own business.
Study materials and resources: All resources you need for the start-up course are online and included in the course.
This will typically include checklists, development tools and instructional videos.
Required experience: No previous knowledge is required for the start-up course, but applicants must write a short personal bio and describe their business idea and reason for joining the course.
Tuition fee: The pilot course, Autumn 2015, is free for a maximum of 20 people in Oslo and Akershus.
Duration: You will have access to the start-up course for 90 days as from the day you sign up.
Certification: When you have passed the final assignments, you will receive an Open Badge verifying your Course completion. Your badge is shown in the picture and you will receive a link to your personal badge. If you like, you can share your badge on LinkedIn, Facebook etc.
Course description:
This start-up course is made especially for entrepreneurs who want to learn how to start a business in Norway. The programme is designed to give you a basic understanding of what it takes to obtain a successful start with a business. The course is full of practical real life entrepreneurial examples and practical tools. Thought-through modules contain several practical tools, making it easy for you to find answers to your start-up questions in the various areas you are interested.
The course methodology is based on experience from many years of digital learning and main issues facing entrepreneurs at the early stages of their start-up experience.
The start-up course is organised into four study modules. At the end of each module there is an assignment to be submitted for evaluation, with the purpose of helping the entrepreneurs to progress in their start-up efforts.

Module 2. Start-up and registration: Registration of company, VAT, employees and accountant
Module 3. Operation and paper work: Taxation, bookkeeping, office management and other obligations
