Forex online course: Interview with Wayne Walker

On March 16, 2015, I received this intriguing e-mail request from Wayne Walker about a forex online course. Four weeks later, after a few Skype meetings and frequent e-mail exchanges, the first student enrolled in our forex online course: GCMS Trading diploma.
I think Wayne’s experiences are interesting to share with others with ambitions to offer online courses. So, I made this e-mail interview with him to find out what he thought about this virtual, and quite swift, forex online course development process.

My firm specializes in practical capital markets education. We have strong track record over the years with in-person teaching. Morten Flate Paulsen: The first time we talked on Skype, I guessed you were American, and I did not realise that you actually were in Copenhagen. Now, I wonder were you originally come from and why you are in Denmark?
Wayne Walker: I’m an ex-New Yorker living in Scandinavia. My connection to Copenhagen is a mix of business and personal. The business, from my previous positions at Saxo Bank, one of the pioneers in online Forex trading. Now I have a family here and I enjoy it.
MFP: Why did you want to have a forex online course?
WW: The push for the forex online course came due to the growing demand I saw from people who were unable to attend our GCMS classes in Northern Europe due to work schedules, timing and in some cases the hassles of getting visas (for those outside EU).
MFP: How did you hear about Campus NooA and why did you choose to contact us?
WW: My connection to NooA came from a past student, who incidentally has started his own education firm. The decision to proceed was based on both the quality of the courses and educators connected with NooA.
MFP: What are your experiences with the forex online course development process and the collaboration with Campus NooA?

The key benefit is the emphasis on practicality. Coming students have the security of knowing the content they will learn has been taught, tested and refined over years from our in-person classes with finance professionals and elite university students.
MFP: Finally, is there anything more you would like to add?
WW: Yes, our course is practical and open to anyone willing to learn. Over the years, besides finance professionals, we have had attendees from varied backgrounds for example Danish Royal Opera singers, programmers, even ballet dancers.
